In August, Golden Age Apartments held a birthday party where everyone celebrated the residents with birthdays that month. They sang birthday songs, cut cake, and enjoyed delicious food together. The social work office also organized a viewing of an educational video about the Olympics followed by a quiz competition. Residents actively participated and won various prizes, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere.

​Additionally, in August, the Los Angeles Department of Mental Health visited Golden Age Apartments to deliver a workshop on improving memory for the elderly. The residents not only learned practical techniques but also shared their own insights and experiences, finding the session highly beneficial.
